Hazem Bata ISNA

Hazem Bata is the secretary general of Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). Mr. Bata is a lawyer and activist making outstanding contributions to the American Muslim community. He holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from West Virginia University School of Law and a Master of Laws  (LL.M) from Washington University in Saint Louis. He practiced law in Florida and was a partner in Bata & Associates, P.A. working in real estate development and business law. Prior to joining ISNA, he served as Operations Manager for Bank of America where he managed the Mortgage Resolution Team (MRT). Bata previously served as an executive council member of the Islamic Center of Morgantown for several years while in West Virginia. He was a legal intern with the Arab-American Anti- Discrimination Committee (ADC) and was active with various other American Muslim organizations in Florida. He also served as executive director of the Orlando chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Orlando) from 2008-2009.
