Michele, an Orlando native, is a passionate gardener finding true joy connecting the community with plants. She has a Permaculture certification (2014) from The Green Education Center and studied Horticulture at Valencia College. She is a student, intern, and teacher at the Florida School of Holistic Living where she currently studies Herbalism. She is also a Garden Instructor for The Living School Orlando where she works with a homeschool group. Fleet Farming is dear to her heart because the program encompasses all of the activities that she loves; working outdoors, interacting with the community, bicycling for a cause, and supporting the sustainable movement. Michele also speaks publicly about urban farming, herbalism, and permaculture to groups throughout Central Florida.
Saja Froukh has a Bachelors in Nutrition Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago and experience as a Research Assistant at UIC on the Fit & Strong! research project. Beginning Fall 2016, Froukh will be attending Loyola University’s Masters Dietetic program. She plans on becoming a registered dietitian after completing her internship and and taking the licensing exam.
